Besides the obvious pleasures of living in a recreation paradise…
The North Shuswap Elementary School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school (ages 4-14) and has small class sizes of roughly 25 children. The school excels at many athletic competitions and has a superior academic program. With roughly 100 kids total, it is a family atmosphere every day. Field trips include ice skating and snow skiing, kayaking, or releasing the schools school of salmon fingerlings into a local creek. Grades 9-12 go into Salmon Arm which boasts about 1200 kids in those 4 grades, and another excellent, varied program. College is close enough, but just far enough… an hour away in either Kamloops (Thompson Rivers University) or Salmon Arm branch of University of the Okanagan, two hours to Kelowna.
And what about your spouse? There’s lots to keep them busy too. We have a number of businesses out here that have offered employment, depending on their skills and interests. And volunteer groups, too many to mention, will welcome them with friendship. Of course, there’s the hiking and other outdoor activities to take up a good part of the day if that’s their wish.
So far, this sounds good. So, who takes care of the clinic, and the business of running a practice?
